Great location and very very good service. Sara from reception is very kind and professional: every time we approach she makes extra step to make our stay more comfortable. Mr.Ahmed i think HSKP manager is the most polite and quick person who solved all our issues even without us asking. Mr.M.Ali from the restaurant is amazing and kind. Mr.Kareem from breakfast of course and many more other Ladies and Gentlemen who work hard to make the stay of the guests memorable. BRAVO 👏. Ah also I must say dinner buffet was very surprisingly great: food was flowing: so delicious and beautifuly presented. Love Sofitel Medinah

Sofitel would always be my only choice of hotel in Madinah. The suites was superb. The foods amazing. Special thanks to Chef Rani for providing us the Asian food especially the “Pengat Pisang”. As a diamond member, I am so overwhelmed with her and especially Sofitel Hospitality. Hope to see Rani in my next visit.

This is our second time staying at Sofitel Madinah. It was an overall pleasant experience. Rooms were lovely, hotel smelt divine, was clean and the location is great. We checked our luggage in via the Harmain Train baggage service however our luggage did not turn up to the hotel as planned. We attempted to contact Harmain Station/SPL however they were not helpful at all and extremely dismissive. Then we spoke to several people at the hotel reception on level M, unfortunately they were also unhelpful. We then went to concierge on the Ground Level and spoke to Faisl Badr & even with the language barrier, he took his time to listen and got a colleague to translate. Faisl requested for a contact of his to try and locate our luggages - this external person also went above and beyond to help us. Our luggages were still not located by the time Faisl's shift had ended and another person from the concierge (did not get his name but he was fair skin, young, was working the night shift on 23/11/2025) took it upon himself to take over and track our luggages which was sent to another nearby hotel. We were extremely grateful for this because if it wasn't for them, who knows what would have happened as the SPL service have yet to respond!! Also I would like to thank Badr (also from the concierge team) for his kind acts of service when in need. One thing which was disappointing was the service from a few members of the reception staff on the M level. When we approached a man at the desk (late shift on 23/11/2025 to seek help with our luggage issue, before even listening to what our query was, he had an attitude and said "Yes, what do you want" - I was not impressed at all with his tone and he immediately could tell so then smirked. I was not going to deal with him so luckily someone more senior turned up and directed us to the concierge. Also we asked for guidance on several occasions as we were having problems with our hotel room telephones however the reception team were not helpful AT ALL regarding this matter. The reception staff on the level M could honestly learn a thing or two from the concierge team who as a whole, presented excellent customer service, from the desk staff to the bell boys and doormen. Overall it was a good stay and I would stay again but please make the necessary improvements.

This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I’ve had in a long time. Check-in was supposed to be at 4:00 pm. I arrived at 5:00 pm, only to be told my room still wasn’t ready. Despite completing online check-in, I was left waiting until 5:30 pm. While they offered me a free meal at their restaurant, it didn’t make up for the poor organization and wasted time. Things only got worse after that. My luggage didn’t arrive until 5:55 pm — almost an hour after I checked in. The hotel was also full of constant noise from renovations, which we were only “informed” about by a piece of paper slipped under the door. To top it off, the alarm kept going off at random times, making it impossible to relax. Yes, the staff were friendly, but that doesn’t excuse how badly this hotel is being managed. Between the delays, the noise, and the overall lack of professionalism, this stay was unacceptable. My last visit about 7 months ago was much better, but this time was such a negative experience that I will not be coming back, nor would I recommend this hotel to others.

Sofitel Medina offers a clean and welcoming atmosphere. The hotel is within walking distance to the Prophet’s Mosque, and you can enjoy a clear view of it right from your room. The dinner and breakfast are exceptional, and the half-board option is highly recommended. A special mention goes to Abdul Rahman, the diligent and helpful cleaner.

I had an outstanding experience with Waleed, one of the receptionists at Sofitel. He truly went above and beyond to help me when my glasses broke during my stay. Without any hesitation, Waleed took full initiative — he arranged for someone to fix my glasses and had them delivered back to me within just one hour. I didn’t even have to leave the hotel! His professionalism, efficiency, and genuine care for guests are truly exceptional. Waleed is an outstanding example of what world-class hospitality looks like. It’s rare to meet someone so dedicated to ensuring guests have a smooth and comfortable experience, no matter the situation. Sofitel is lucky to have such a remarkable team member. Literally everything is amazing! The breakfast has wayyyyy so many options that I can’t even choose from, reception staff are amazing the ladies are kind and very understanding and Anas made our check in very smooth and even upgraded the room as we had a bad experience in our previous hotel, as for the housekeeping Mr Omar Hawsawi is very attentive and always there to help him and the whole housekeeping staff! BEST STAFF EVER! Everyone is super kind and helpful here thats why I come every single year

Loved my stay at this hotel in Medina. The staff was so friendly specially Zainab, Ashraf and Sara. They upgraded our rooms for free too. The complimentary breakfast was amazing and food at their buffet was excellent as well. Since it’s right next to Masjid-eNabwi, it was very convenient and we were able to reach for Namaz within 5 minutes.

When I arrive after one day traveling, the hotel did not find my reservation despite the confirmation and payment received from orbits. I spent hours with complaint department of orbits who told me that I have to make a reservation again directly at the hotel desk and make a payment again.

I writing this review while waiting for ice more than 1 hour! When I call the room service he told me hotel is full Did i mentioned they tried to scam me with 2 invoices from the official restaurant? Still waiting for the ice to arrive by the way! This is one of the worst service I've encountered in any hotel even in 3 stars hotel in some area they have better room service

The best location. This hotel is very near the masjid. It took leas than 5 minutes to get to the ladies gate number 25. Amazing breakfast but very busy. The hotel is now dated and in need of an upgrade, you notice this more if you come from a 5 star hotel in Mecca.

A special thank you to Duty Manager Ahmed Fadel and Namah at check-in they were both incredibly helpful, courteous, and made sure everything went smoothly throughout our memorable stay. The out of way service at breakfast time by Kabir Saber, Manager Abdul Karim and Chef wowed us. The serving team was always available. Service by bell boy Rabiullah was on spot The location is perfect, just steps away from the Haram, which made our visit even more special and convenient. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Madina and whenever we visit Madina again, Sofitel Shad Al Madina will be our go to hotel.

An amazing place with an outstanding staff who made our day by accommodating our requests as our son was not feeling well. I didn’t believe when they offered us help and if this was really possible to go so much out of the way. “Mr. Karim Saber was talking to my son with one knee on the ground” the same way that I was talking to my son. Only a father would do this for a son. Do they treated us like family not just privileged guests. Followed by the manager Mr Abdul Karim who made calls and left no stone unturned to help us and then also the chef himself Mr Basyouny who personally came to the table for help as well. Apart from the above super stars the whole team was well supported by the following who were ensuring that we get everything we ask for Mr Mohammad Abdul Hameed, Ms Isna and Mr Abu Bakar I literally have no words to praise the overall experience starting from check in to check out as the experience at check in and check out was also above extraordinary as well. Whether you're a tourist or a pilgrim this hotel is perfect. Everything is modern, all staff is helpful and professional and the location could not be better. The Prophet's (pbuh) Mosque is adjacent, there are hundreds of restaurants and stores and you cannot have a better view. There are always taxis waiting outside and the Hop-on-hop-off red bus tour starts on the sidewalk out front. Everything you need is already inside of your room and the employees will do everything to help you. I really enjoyed my stay here.

Great location 2 minutes walking to the prophets mosque. Ample elevators to go down easily even during busy period. Multiple shopping places and food shops very convenient. We had the half board package, very good variety for breakfast and dinner. Highly recommended hotel

We as a family of 3 members were treated like Royalty/ were given free upgraded room/ Originally booked and paid from 19th to 24th April 2025 due to change in umrah rules in Mecca we had to check out on 22nd April earlier So we could perform our umrah in Mecca as new legislation would not allow forus to be in mecca after the 28th April and we were approved by duty manager Mohammed for the 2 day's refund. The hotel management will go above customer Expectations to facilitate what they could. Will always Stay at this Fabulous Hotel. Seven Stars from us.
